At the Limit

Our Philosophy

Two brothers from the Bavarian town of Berchtesgaden, known to all as "Huberbuam", have regularly pushed the boundaries of what is possible in climbing for more than three decades. One of the outstanding examples they demonstrated in the El Dorado of the free climbing scene, at the Big Walls in California's Yosemite Valley. The most famous climbing route on El Capitan - "The Nose" - usually requires several days from climbers. Not so for Thomas and Alexander Huber.

Together they "sprinted" up this exposed 1000m high granite wall and reached the exit in the then breathtaking record time of 2:45:45. An original comment from Thomas on this: "The first minute is the most important. If there is no mistake, it goes through. Then you get into this insane speed rush, where suddenly everything goes perfectly. I look down at Alexander: With him everything runs perfect, with me everything runs perfect, not one mistake. And then the fear disappears completely. We are totally in flow, doing everything right without having to think. This is the moment where we lift our own limits and become really fast!"

At the limit, not over the limit - the premise of their alpine pushing the limits provides an analogy for overcoming technical challenges. At ROXA we are not content with the status quo. We look for the best possible solutions right from the start and do not shy away from pushing traditional boundaries that have been known until now. We work on our projects with passion and commitment, bringing ideas to maturity. Defying all obstacles, we consistently pursue our Mission with the focus: "To support people in their work".

Entrepreneurs

Our Founders

Lifting and moving - these terms form the bracket around the professional career of Horst Gusterhuber, the Styrian mechanical engineer. His career has led from classic industrial crane construction to the construction of hydraulic platform systems for automobile transporters to oversized steel hoists with a lifting capacity of over 6000 tons for the construction of gigantic oil platforms.

What started in 2000 as a small engineering office in Salzburg, developed in ten years into a recognized manufacturer of handling and conveying technology for the demanding industry. In addition to major automotive manufacturers, other well-known industrial customers were supplied over the course of time. The company history with ACS Technologies GmbH ended in December 2009 with the sale to the Finnish world market leader in industrial crane construction.

The move to Traunstein in Bavaria brought with it a new company foundation in 2010. After successfully completing several orders with a Bavarian premium car manufacturer, WHN Technologies GmbH won a major framework contract and consolidated its status as a system supplier. Increasing awareness led to demand at home and abroad and to rapid sales growth with projects in Europe, Asia and America.

Maximilian Irlinger completed his studies at the Technical University of Munich in the field of mechanical engineering. The focus of his studies was on product development, logistics and material flow as well as ergonomics. After completing his master's degree in 2016, he joined the team at Horst Gusterhuber , quickly took over as head of the design team and provided a breath of fresh air with his commitment.

In addition to the common company vision, both founders share their passion for the mountains. There they find not only balance and relaxation, but also inspiration and motivation for professional challenges in a special way.

Experience

Our foundation

The know-how of our entrepreneurs is based on numerous reference projects in the automotive industry as well as in other, demanding industries. They developed, designed and produced systems for lifting, conveying, positioning, transferring, joining, screwing, gluing, dosing, mixing and much more. In handling and conveying technology, there are not many areas that they have not had to deal with.

Several German and European patents as well as several publications in trade magazines illustrate our innovative strength in the development of mechatronic systems. The fact that our solutions have their finger on the pulse of the times is documented not least by our first place in the prestigious Robotics Award at the Hanover Industrial Trade Fair 2016.
